Ad Mad Board Game
Object of the game: To get the most different coloured buttons in their remote control within a set time limit or be the first player to get 8 different coloured buttons within the time frame.
How to Play:
Each player rolls the die. The player with the highest number rolls the die again and moves clockwise around the outside of board. That player will land on either a spiral space on the board or a Channel 7 space.
Spiral: The person to the right takes the top Ad card from the box and reads out question 1 showing the picture. If the player answers correctly, the card is kept out and they roll the die again. Questions to that player in his turn are asked consecutively. If they do not answer correctly, the person asking questions gives out the answer, returns the card to the bottom of the deck and the next player rolls the die to move.
If 5 questions are answered consecutively the player may choose any TV space to land on and get the button of that colour.
Channel 7: Players landing on this space play as on a Spiral space but if they answer correctly they love onto the TV space adjacent and get a button of that colour. Their turn ends and the card is returned to the bottom of the deck. When a player moves from the outside to the inside of board or vice versa, or a button is won, their turn is over. Once a player is on a TV space, they roll the die and move around the inside of board clockwise.
TV:
Players who land on this space answer questions relating to the video. The video should be stopped after a clip has been shown. The person asking questions looks for the clip number in the Video question booklet and asks the question corresponding to the colour of the TV space they are on. If the player answers wrong, they move back to the Channel 7 space adjacent and their turn is over. If the players answers correct, they can either receive a peg of the colour of the TV they are on and end their turn, or they can roll the die again. Any following questions in the player’s turn are asked about the same video clip without showing it again. You can collect more than one colour of any button and discard them at any time, but can only have a max of 8 buttons in your remote control.
Remote:
Players who land on this space play as on a TV space. Questions are asked corresponding to the colour of the player choice. If the player answers correctly, they roll the die again. Any following questions in the player’s turn are asked about the same video clip without showing the clip again. If they answer wrong, they have to pick up an Ad Mad Mime card.
Mime Cards:
The Mime cards each have 8 colour coded products. Player must hum the jingle or mime the product matching the colour of the remote they are on. The first player to guess the product gets a button of their choosing. If no one guesses the mime correctly, that player loses a button of their choice and returns to their starting square on the board. In both cases, the mimer’s turn ends and the next player rolls the die.
Winning:
The first player to get 8 different coloured buttons in their remote control or the player with the most different coloured buttons within the time limit wins.
